Small Town Poison Ivy

small town poison ivy

Here is a photo from a lovely small town in Pennsylvania.

Like many small towns it has quite a few attractive, solid, brick buildings from the early part of the 1900s.

However this particular buildhng is under attack from a massive poison ivy vine. The store is out of business, but I hate to think what could happen to a prospective tenant who pushes past the ivy to get inside.

Actually, there might be a bit of grapevine in there, but the growth is 95% poison ivy.

Poison ivy is hardly a rural or suburban plant. In fact, New York City is waking up to a major attack from very urban poison ivy.
