Poison Ivy Invades Hedges!

poison ivy in hedge

Here is a lovely example of poison ivy invading a typical hedge outside someone's house.

Note how the hedge is barely growing in the pleasant spring weather, whiile the poison ivy is jumping 6 inches up.

I have been hesitant to knock on the door and warn the residents because in the past people have sometimes reacted negatively, thinking I am there to somehow take advantage of them.

But I just want them to be aware that trimming a hedge with poison ivy in it can lead to terrible consequences.

In fact, this rash, the one I call The Mother of All Skin Rashes, was gotten by trimming hedges with poison ivy in them!
