Middle Age Change

spring poison ivy

I had a conversation with the fellow who runs one of America's leading poison ivy control services.

He grew up very much an outdoor kid, had constant contact with poison ivy, while hunting, fishing and just generally being an All-American kid.

He never had a single rash from all that contact.

But when he turned 45 years old, suddenly he was allergic and entirely susceptible.

Lesson: don't ever assume you are immune for life! It may catch up with you!

(The photo is just typical spring poison ivy, red, shiny, and loaded with nasty urushiol oil just for you1)
