poison ivy test

One reason there isn't more research on poison ivy's effect on people is that you basically have to GIVE people the rash to see what happens with different remedies. And nobody much is going to sign up for that.

This is an odd story for sure. 

We approve strongly of using goats to control poison ivy since it doesn't hurt the goats a bit, is safer than herbicides, and safer than having people tear it out.

The Itchy Project

The ITCHY Project: Poison Ivy Education and Research: The Jelesko laboratory at Virginia Tech is the only academic research lab devoted to Poison Ivy/Oak/Sumac research. The Jelesko lab recently launched the Investigating Toxicodendron Change and Habitat for Years (ITCHY) Project to educate the public about poison ivy science (both what is known and still unknown).
